Merit Awards 2025

The Billawar Association Mumbai sponsored Annual Awards to Meritorious Students and Financial Help to Students was held on 28th Septmber 2025 at Shree Narayana Guru Auditorium, Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz West, Mumbai.

 

It was a proud moment for the large number of children and their parents, as they came on stage and were felicitated with Awards for having successfully completed their school and college academics in flying colours.   Financial Help was also given to the meritorious and deserving students, which will help them pursue their dreams in the academic field.

 

The programme started with an excellent talk by Advocate Ms. Anagha Nimkar,  who guided the students regarding Legal Career and its different branches of specialisation.    It was a indeed a good furtune for the students to listen to a knowledgeable and experienced legal luminaire.

 

The Guests for the evening were a galaxy of personalities from the Educational and Business fields,    Shri Vivek Shetty, former President of Buntara Sangha Mumbai, and Executive President, Vishwas Chemicals,  was the Chief Guest at the function.  Srinath Finance Ltd. Executive Chairman Mundkur Ratnakar Shetty (Executive Chairman of SM Shetty Educational Institutions),  renowned Chartered Accountant CM Gangadhar S. Poojary,  Former District Health Superintendent at Bidar, S. Shubhavathi and Shri NT Poojary, Businessman and Executive President of the Billawa Chamber of Commerce & Induistry (BCCI), (who also inaugurated the New Website of the Billawar Association Mumbai)  were the Guests of Honour. 

 

In his address to the youngsters, Shri Vivek Shetty said that it was indeed a commendable that Buntara Sangha Mumbai and Billawar Association Mumbai have come together as the two prestigious social service and community organizations in Greater Mumbai. The Bunts Sangha and Billawar Association Mumbai,  seem to have walked the same path.  Earlier, the Bunts Sangha also ran a night school. Gradually, due to the excellent visionary thinking among the leaders of the community, today the Bunts Sangha Mumbai has independent higher educational institutions and are still moving forward.  The advise was that Educational investment will never go waste and the amount spent on education will not only build a strong society but also strengthen the individual to build a great life.

 

Shri Harish G Amin, President, Billawar Association Mumbai, in his speech briefly dwelt on the message of Narayan Guru, who preached the ideas of education, equality, humanity and relationships to eliminate inequality in society.  Education is the strength of the modern world. Therefore, the Billawar Association Mumbai will always give more importance to education.  The President assured that no matter what amount is takes, the Billawar Association Mumbai is getting ready build our own higher education institution soon and we are swiftly moving towards that goal.  He also assured that in the In the coming days, the Association will support students and talented children with even more or higher incentives.
