KANTABARE-BOODHABARE INDOOR GAMES 2022

TO BE HELD ON 13TH NOVEMBER, 2022 AT BILLAWA BHAVANA

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR CARROM

  1. There will be Two Groups for gents on the basis of age of the Participants.
    ‘A’ Group : Age Between 15 to 25 years
    ‘B’ Group : Age above 25 years There will be only one group for Ladies; Minimum age limit will be 15 years
  2. In Doubles there will be no age Group.
  3. Only Central / Local Offices Participants are allowed to participate in the Tournament &
    no Individual Entries allowed.
  4. Only two Participants are allowed to participate in each group in Singles and Four in Doubles
    from Central / Local offices.
  5. Minimum 8 players are required in each Group. In case of short fall in any group, Youth Subcommittee reserves the right to re-shuffle the players from one Group to other or cancel the
    group for not meeting the minimum requirements.
  6. Preliminary, quarterfinals & Semi Finals rounds will consist of only one Board.
  7. Final will consist of Four Boards or the full game whichever is earlier.

8. Rules & regulations for the play:
a) While playing the striker should cover both the striking lines failing which player will loose the immediate strike.
b) In Doubles no direction whatsoever should be given to the co-player.
c) The ankle of the player should not cross arrow mark on both sides. If it is not observed the player will loose the immediate strike.
d) While playing if the player slipped while striking, player will loose the immediate strike.
e) While playing any portion of the hand touches the other coin or if he stops the striker before it is stopped on its own the game will become fault, and he will be penalized and one coin will be taken out and placed on the board by the opponent.
f) If the coin and the striker fall together it will be deemed double dues. The opponent takes out two coins and places them on the board by opponent.
g) If only the striker falls it will be deemed single due. One coin of the player will be taken out and placed on the board by opponent and the opponent will continue the game.
h) In case of Single due or Fault when there is no coin of player in pocket, the opponent will take out the next pocketed coin of the player and place it on the board as soon as coin is pocketed. In case the opponent forgets to take out and place coin on the board immediately he will loose the right to place the coin thereafter.
i) In case of Double Due when there is no other coin in pocket the player will continue to play. However the opponent has got option to place the pocketed coin before he starts the next strike or he can wait for next pocketed coin for placing on the board. If the opponent forgets to place the coin on board as soon as the coin is pocketed in next strike
he will loose the right to place the coin thereafter.
j) If the coin and the queen goes together at a stroke or the queen is followed by the coin it is considered as cover for queen.
k) If the queen falls along with the striker, queen and one coin should be surrendered by the player and allow the opponent to continue the game.
l) If queen falls first and in the next stroke the coin falls with the striker, it will not be considered as cover for the queen. The player should surrender two coins and continue the game. But in the next stroke if the coin goes, it will be continued as cover for the queen, otherwise player should surrender the queen.
m) It is allowed to play with thumbs in this tournament and both the hands can be used for playing.
n) One game will consist of 25 points
o) Three points will be given to the queen, However no point will be given to the Queen after crossing 21 points.
p) If the player takes more than 15 seconds, he/she will loose the immediate strike.
q) If the participants are not present in time of play, then opponent will be given the walkover.
r) Referee’s decision is final & binding.

For Chess:
There will be Two Groups on the basis of age of the Participants (for all)

  1. Age Between 10 to 15 Years
  2. Age above 15 years

For Rangoli:
There will be Two Groups on the basis of age of the Participants (for all).

  1. Age Below 15 Years
  2. Age above 15 years

The decision taken by the Youth Welfare Sub-Committee will be final & binding for all the participants.
Youth Welfare Sub-Committee reserves the right to modify or cancel any of the Rules and Regulations
without Prior notice.
